Owners

Laurie Skiles

Laurie was raised in Auburn, CA and moved to the Reno area in 2004. She has been with The Nurturing Nest since 2013.

She struggled with fertility treatments and loss and feels blessed to be a mother of 3 beautiful children. She is a compassionate fellow mom, a cloth diapering enthusiast and founder of The Cloth Diaper Project. Laurie also loves to be out in nature, whether that is camping with her family or tending to her ever-growing garden.

She serves the moms & families who come to The Nurturing Nest (now Biggest Little Baby) with her heart and soul and is always there for a hug.

We are lucky to have her heart and knowledge!

Ashley Hogan

Ashley was born and raised in Reno/Sparks.
She has travelled some and found other places to love but the adventure and culture of the Great Basin will always be home.

As the mother of an active 4 year old and soon to be mother of two (due with a second girl this summer!), Ashley has experienced the positive impact of community and friendships she found through The Nurturing Nest (now Biggest Little Baby).

This cloth diapering, breastfeeding, baby wearing mama knows that every family’s journey looks different and that each child may require a path in a new direction. Those needs and choices are what make our community diverse and build us into the proverbial village that our children deserve to be raised in.

Erin Hansen

Erin Hansen was born and raised in Reno, Nevada. She has been a massage therapist since 2011 and found her home at the Nurturing Nest (now Biggest Little Baby) in 2016.

In her massage practice she specializes in therapeutic and pregnancy massage and loves working with a variety of age groups.
Erin loves all things health related and teaches many of our classes from baby massage to strength training.

Erin believes that when parents take care of their own health and
stay connected to a community they will transition into parenthood and family life with ease.

Erin became a mom in 2017 and loves sharing about her own journey and watching families make their own path. Outside of work you can find her on the hiking trail, camping, or touring hot springs.

Sarah Geo Walton

Sarah grew up in a middle of Nevada community that was resourceful and adaptable. She moved to Reno as a teen and quickly immersed herself in the local music, art and non-profit scene.

She moved to Portland, Oregon in her twenties where she was introduced to the birthwork world and trained as a birth and postpartum doula and placenta encapsulation specialist.
In 2015 she had a cute little baby who solidified her love for supporting families as they grow.

She moved back to the Reno area in 2016 and soon started Bright Heart Birth Services , a local doula agency and rented an office at The Nurturing Nest after it relocated.

She shines best in moments of vulnerability and connection and has been known to do knee slides on the dance floor.

Yoga & Fitness Instructors

Trisha Benson

Trisha’s 10 years of yoga experience spans cultures- bringing the magic of Bali, the devotion of India and the rhythm and humor of Africa -to her classes.

Nicknamed “the inappropriate yogi” means no topic is off limit in her light-hearted approach to yoga with movement that builds strength and flexibility.

Julia Bledsoe

Julia Bledsoe is a lifelong yoga practitioner and mother of two beautiful daughters.

Julia’s interest in the therapeutic benefits of yoga have taken her on a quest of study in Yoga Therapy. Julia completed her 500-hour certification focusing on Anatomy and Yoga Therapeutics with We are One Flow Reno and Yoga Tree of San Francisco.

She went on to complete Level 1 IAYT training with Stress Management Center of Marin and is currently pursuing the IAYT, level 2 certification. She has taken Leslie Howard’s Teacher Training for the Pelvic floor and is pursuing the certification in Yoga for the Pelvic Floor.

Kelley Glogovac

Kelley Glogovac happened upon yoga in 2001 and started her teaching path in 2014. She studied prenatal and postnatal yoga teaching with Gurmukh and Khalsa Way in 2016.

Kelley’s yoga practice had been all her own with a combination of hatha foundation, kundalini energy awareness, and yoga for scoliosis precision- until she was graced with her son in 2018. Since experiencing the joys of pregnancy and motherhood, she finds yoga in the moment.

When Kelley is not guiding yoga class, she is riding bikes, hiking,
skiing, traveling, bartending, and helping manage her family’s
restaurant, PJ & Company, all while leading with her heart.

Erin Hansen

Erin Hansen is our fitness director here at Biggest Little Baby and our resident massage therapist. She has been teaching yoga since 2014 and strength training since 2017.

She believes that joyful movement has the power to heal and be a catalyst for change. Exercise played an important role in Erin’s new motherhood journey and she loves sharing her passion for mindful movement with her 2 daughters.

She loves that group classes amplify the power of movement as they offer the space for people to connect, heal, struggle, and laugh together.

Outside of teaching you can find Erin on the hiking trail or camping with her family.

Tiffany Jordan

Tiffany’s yoga journey casually began in 2007. In 2016, while stationed in Florida and pregnant with her first son, she discovered a lack of prenatal yoga classes. She decided to do something about it and earned both her 200hr certification and Prenatal
Certification in 2018.

She is passionate about helping mamas feel their best wherever they are on their mama journey. She loves the connection
of mind and body and bringing light to areas that don’t often receive much love.

She believes the spiritual-physical connection of yoga is so important for parents to embrace. Becoming a mother is one of the most radical life events a person can experience and learning to ‘tune in’ helps you, baby, and support partners learn and grow together.

You are never in this alone and its Tiffany’s personal mission to share her yogi knowledge to help each person feel her best.

Amira Morrow

Amira has been studying and practicing yoga for over 20 years. In 2013 she completed her immersive teacher training at Sivananda Dhanwantari Ashram.

After the birth of her first child, she experienced “typical” pelvic floor symptoms and a very weak core. Not being satisfied with the status quo, she took a deep dive into research and workshops to overcome these problems and feel strong and comfortable in her body again.

After the birth of her second child, she became certified as a Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist (PCES) so she could help her body heal and strengthen. She loves to help other people through their postpartum issues, in both 1-on-1 and group settings, so that they can safely get back to their normal exercise routine, or just be able to keep up with their kids.
